Builders of Africa’s Future (BAF)
In January 2020, There is Hope was among the recipients of the 2020 BAF awards. This award recognizes entrepreneurs who are running early-stage for-profit and not-for-profits that are addressing Africa’s unique needs through technology or differentiated business models. (https://bit.ly/2z6l0kt)
Knight of the Star of Italian Solidarity
In August 2019 Florisa Magambi, founder and Director of Kibébé, received the Knight of the Star of Italian Solidarity award. The award is bestowed by the President of the Republic of Italy to recognize individuals who contribute to the preservation and promotion of Italian prestige abroad, promoting friendly relations and co-operation with other countries and ties with Italy.
SEED award
In October 2019, Kibébé was among the recipients of the 2019 SEED Awards. The SEED Awards for Entrepreneurship in Sustainable Development is an annual awards program designed to identify the most innovative and promising locally-led start-up eco-inclusive enterprises in developing and emerging economies. Social Impact Incubator – Malawi (SII) Ambassador
In November 2018, There Is Hope founder and Executive Director, Innocent Magambi, received the 2018 SII Ambassador award. This is a prestigious award presented by the Segal Family Foundation (SFF) to an SII alumnus who has been championing SII and is a great ambassador for SFF’s efforts to support early-stage visionary organizations.
