Rep from Ministry of Labour Impressed with There is Hope

A representative from Ministry of Labour, Youth, Sports and Manpower Development, said he is very impressed with There is Hope’s steady progress in its vocational training courses.
Mr. Rexford Kachepa, Chief Technical Officer in the ministry said this during a graduation ceremony There is Hope held for students from its vocational training programme.

The function occurred on Friday 10 February, 2017. Over 40 students from Carpentry, Bricklaying and Tailoring programmes were awarded certificates and start up toolkits at the ceremony. After experiencing the dedication that There is Hope displayed at the event, the delegate could not help it but shower praises. He described the event as inspiring, saying “I am looking forward to working hand in hand with There is Hope to achieve government’s vision of empowering the youths.” Mr. Kachepa disclosed that There is Hope’s training programmes are supplementing government’s efforts in in training the youths in entrepreneurship skills. He explained that Malawi is largely made up of the youths thus establishing vocational trainings for these people is a crucial development to the country.

“When I return to the office I will give an excellent report to the Minister, Henry Mussa on the admirable work that the There is Hope is performing.” Mr. Kachepa added.

 

Government is intensifying its programme of establishing community colleges offering qualifications in vocational courses to increase self-reliance among local communities.
